5A Girls Lacrosse State Championship: Valor Christian vs. Regis Jesuit

AURORA -- The 2026 CHSAA 5A Girls Lacrosse State Championship is set. No. 1 Valor Christian meets No. 2 Regis Jesuit on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Denver's Peter Barton Stadium.

Valor Christian beat Colorado Academy 7-5 in the semifinals. Regis Jesuit handled Kent Denver 14-4. The top two seeds in the state are going head to head for the title.

The Records

Valor Christian enters at 14-2, ranked No. 1 in Colorado and No. 17 nationally. Regis Jesuit is 15-3, ranked No. 2 in Colorado and No. 64 nationally. Both teams went 7-0 in league play.

Regis Jesuit averages 16.2 goals per game this season. Valor Christian averages 12.4.

The Head to Head

These two teams met once this season. Valor Christian won. Regis Jesuit will be looking to flip the result on the biggest stage of the year.

Sophomore Addison Kindy does a bit of everything with 36 goals, 18 assists, a team-high 41 ground balls, and 41 caused turnovers. Sophomore Isabella Diaz leads the team with 42 caused turnovers.

In goal, senior Rayn Parker has a 6.5 goals against average and 54 saves.

Valor Christian Players to Watch

Junior midfielder Gia Bigelow is the engine of this offense. She leads the team in goals with 41, assists with 13, points with 54, caused turnovers with 29, and shots on goal with 52. She is also tied for the team lead with 29 ground balls. She averages 2.7 goals and 0.9 assists per game.

Senior Leele Bigelow contributes 36 goals, and 29 ground balls. Junior Micki Tanella adds 30 goals and 41 points.

In goal, senior Allie Moskowitz has been strong all season with a 4.4 goals against average, a .608 save percentage, and 79 saves.

The Storylines

Valor Christian is going for back to back state titles after beating 10-time champion Colorado Academy in the semifinals. The Eagles are 3-0 in the playoffs and 2-0 on neutral sites this season.

Regis Jesuit reached the 5A final in 2023 and the semifinals last year. The Raiders are 3-0 in the playoffs and 15-2 against in-state opponents this season. Friday is their shot at a first state title.
