Colorado Girls Lacrosse Playoffs: 5A Semifinals Set, 4A Quarterfinals Underway

5A Girls Lacrosse: Semifinals Set for May 12

The 5A quarterfinals are done. Four teams are left and the semifinals are Monday.

Valor Christian took care of business, beating Rock Canyon 11-5 to advance. They draw Colorado Academy, which pulled off an upset, knocking out No. 4 Fairview 12-7. Those two meet May 12 at 5 p.m. at Englewood HS.

On the other side, Regis Jesuit was dominant, rolling past Arapahoe 20-5. The Raiders draw Kent Denver in the other semifinal at 7 p.m. on May 12. The state championship is May 15.

4A Girls Lacrosse: Quarterfinals Set for Today

Eight teams are still standing in 4A and four games are on tap today, May 11.

Battle Mountain is the top seed and looked the part, beating Green Mountain 17-2 in the second round. The Huskies face Aspen, which held off Telluride 12-7. That game tips off at 6 p.m.

Evergreen beat Mead 21-6 and faces Steamboat Springs, which survived a tight one against Holy Family 18-13. That quarterfinal is set for 4 p.m.

On the other side of the bracket, Golden beat Summit 24-5 and draws Air Academy, which knocked out Durango 22-9. Those two meet at 5 p.m.

Roaring Fork beat Fruita Monument 17-8 and faces Cheyenne Mountain, which handled Dakota Ridge 14-2. That game kicks off at 4 p.m.

Semifinals are May 13. The 4A state championship is May 15.
