Share
The 2026 boys lacrosse season produced some of the most impressive individual stat lines Colorado has seen in years. Here is a breakdown of the top performers across both 5A and 4A.
5A
Wyatt Branish from CCHS in Greenwood Village put together one of the best offensive seasons in recent memory. He led all 5A players in goals with 67, assists with 51, and points with 118. No other player came close to matching that combination across all three categories. Mason Kelly of Grandview in Aurora was right behind him, finishing second in goals with 62, third in assists with 43, and second in points with 105. Kai Modica from Fairview in Boulder led the state in assists with 58 and finished third in points with 101, making him the most productive pure playmaker in 5A.
In the ground ball category, Erie's Tyler Keating stood out in two ways. He led 5A with 133 ground balls and also posted the top faceoff percentage among qualified players at 78.0 percent. That kind of two-way production at the midfield level is rare. Owen Hamele of Monarch in Louisville was close behind with 126 ground balls, and Hiroshi St.pierre of Arvada West finished third with 123.
On the defensive side, Gavin Reinhart from Legend in Parker set himself apart with 116 takeaways, nearly 50 more than the second-place finisher. Braylon Englehart of Erie added 69 and Dru Ferrin of Lakewood finished third with 66.
In goal, Ryan Olsen of Regis Jesuit led 5A in save percentage at .642, edging Nicholas Pangborn of Arapahoe at .639 and Luke Foley of Erie at .637. All three goalies had strong seasons. Pangborn also appeared on the goals against average leaderboard, posting a 5.728 GAA, while Ian Stefonowicz of VCHS in Highlands Ranch led that category with a 4.123.
4A
Paxton Webber of Grand Junction was the most complete offensive player in 4A. He led the division in both assists with 52 and points with 110, while also finishing fourth in goals with 58. His 110-point season was the highest total across any classification. Myles Spike of Conifer led 4A in goals with 62, and Nate Moatz of Aspen finished second with 60.
The ground ball leaderboard in 4A featured some massive numbers. Nolan Reffner of Prairie View in Henderson topped the list with 213, barely edging Curran Rice of Denver North who finished with 212. Those numbers reflect programs built on possession and physical play. Liam Young of Air Academy came in third with 158.
Reffner also showed up in the faceoff percentage category, posting 76.8 percent, though Adrian Martinez of Rangeview was the clear leader at 90.8 percent. Martinez won 108 of 119 faceoff attempts. Guy Evilsizer, also from Rangeview, finished second at 85.5 percent, giving that program two of the top five faceoff specialists in 4A.
Trystan McDougal of Golden led all 4A players in takeaways with 91. Joseph Welte of Pueblo West and Dylan Hufford, also from Golden, finished second and third with 77 and 75 respectively.
In goal, Kohlton Myers of Glenwood Springs posted the top save percentage in 4A at .732, followed by Owen Stettner of Mullen in Denver at .697 and Desmond Chacos, also from Glenwood Springs, at .693.
